Melissa Hawkes is a British author who found creative writing to be the form of escapism she was looking for after she was placed in foster care at aged nine. Primarily a Young Adult Fantasy writer, her work is inspired by her childhood and teenage experiences and she hopes to shed light on matters close to her heart, such as bullying, expression, mental health and the hidden truth about living in foster care.

Abigail Hair is the American author of the compelling young adult fantasy series, From the Mouths of Sirens. Abigail's love of fantasy began at an early age, when her father would read her epic tales like The Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia before bed. Throughout her adolescence and young adult years, Abigail read every book she could get her hands on. During her time at the University of Oklahoma as a history major, Abigail wrote several fantasy books and daydreamed of magical worlds in her free time.

Alyssa Harmon is an experienced poet, with several published poems, including her debut poetry collection, seven years. She graduated with her bachelor's in English from the University of South Florida, St. Petersburg, and is working on her master's in Creative Writing from the University of West Florida. She writes poetry based on her own life experiences and continues to write not just for herself, but for others. In the future, she plans to publish more poetry books that touch on themes of love, mental health, trauma, healing, and personal experiences.

Femi is the creator of The Book Alert’s Book Club, an online and in person book club that prioritises reading and discussing books from around the world, with a special focus on women writers. This book club become a way for people from different walks of life to connect over their shared love of good stories (with some food and cocktails of course!) Femi has interviewed various authors and has also been featured in Cosmopolitan UK Magazine.
